The aircraft survivability solutions offered by Terma are always accompanied by a recommended package of ground support equipment. We also offer our ground support equipment as part of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) services established by Terma or the customer.

Operational Readiness
To support operational readiness, Terma has developed a range of ground support equipment capable of testing electrical and functional interfaces of Line Replaceable Units. The test equipment determines malfunction or non-conformance to specifications and guides on corrective actions. Line Replaceable Units passing test will be fully functional and can be prepared for storage or immediate use, ensuring the operational readiness of equipment available. 

Operational Effectiveness
The operational effectiveness of aircraft survivability equipment is heavily based on the configuration of the system. Terma has developed a range of ground support equipment that enables pre-mission or even flight-line validation of system configuration and performance in order to ensure the intended operation and effectiveness of equipment in operation.

Functionality

O-Level Maintenance
Terma has developed a range of ground support equipment that enables O-level maintenance.

The Dispense Test Adaptor (DTA) simulates a dispense magazine with live chaff and flare payloads. The DTA is used for testing the Advanced Countermeasures Dispense System, e.g. a pre-flight checkout.

The Payload Simulation and Stray Voltage Tester (PSSVT) performs the same job as the DTA, simulating a dispense magazine. However, the PSSVT also offers a dispense readout for each payload position for validation of dispense routines. Furthermore, the PSSVT is capable of detecting stray voltage.

I-Level Maintenance
Terma has developed a range of ground support equipment that enables pre-mission verification and validation of equipment functionality.

The Pylon EW Tester (PEWT) is capable of testing all Electronic Warfare-related functionality in the ECIPSU, PIDSU, ECIPS+, and PIDS+ pylons. The testing is fully automated and requires only a minimum of operator interaction.

The Special Test Equipment (STE) for the F-16 is capable of testing the functionality of all Line Replaceable Units represented in the F-16 Electronic Warfare Management System.

Depot-Level Maintenance
Terma has developed the Generic EW Test System (GETS), which is capable of testing electrical interfaces of Line Replaceable Units. The GETS determines malfunction or non-conformance to specifications and guides on corrective actions like replacement of Shop Replaceable Units. The testing is fully automated and requires only a minimum of operator interaction. Line Replaceable Units passing the GETS test are fully functional and can be prepared for storage or immediate use.

The latest generation of the GETS is also capable of testing Shop Replaceable Units, which enables testing of spares and repaired parts before usage.
