Terma and Danube Cell Manufacturing Sign MoU to Advance Battery Development and Testing
The collaboration will combine Terma’s battery cell testing technology with Danube Cell Manufacturing’s expertise in custom battery development and manufacturing. The collaboration marks a step in optimizing future battery development.
Terma and Danube Cell Manufacturing (DCM) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to explore joint opportunities in battery development, testing, and validation.
The collaboration combines Terma’s expertise in advanced electronics, software, and battery testing with DCM’s capabilities in custom battery cell development and manufacturing. Together, the companies aim to help customers efficiently move from early concepts to validated, application-ready battery solutions.
The collaboration will focus on the critical applications of aerospace and defence. The MoU provides a framework for identifying customer needs, exploring joint projects, and developing tailored approaches to battery testing and development.
“Battery technologies are developing quickly, but their performance, safety, and reliability must be validated under demanding, application-specific conditions. By combining Terma’s testing technology with DCM’s battery cell expertise, engineered and manufactured in Europe, we aim to help customers move more efficiently from early development to validated solutions,” said Mats Warstedt, Senior Vice President, Space, Terma.
“Our collaboration with Terma creates an opportunity to connect customized cell development with advanced testing and provide stronger support for customers whose requirements cannot be met by standard solutions,” said Dr. Marcus Jahn, CEO and Founder of Danube Cell Manufacturing.
