The annual Ambassadors’ Conference is one of the key gatherings in Danish foreign policy, bringing together the country’s ambassadors and consuls general for dialogue with government leaders, industry organizations, and business executives. Over several days, participants discuss Denmark’s strategic priorities and exchange insights on how to navigate a world shaped by shifting alliances, trade barriers, technological change, and mounting geopolitical tensions.

As part of the program, ambassadors traditionally visit a Danish company to learn more about its role in supporting Denmark’s global position. In previous years, this honor has gone to companies such as Carlsberg – and in 2025, Terma was selected to host the visit. During the event at Terma’s Søborg site, ambassadors took part in panel discussions and network sessions designed to strengthen ties between diplomacy and industry. The sessions addressed how Danish companies can operate and succeed internationally in an increasingly complex security and economic landscape.

“Thanks to Terma for hosting yesterday’s event as part of the Ambassadors’ Conference 2025. With the defence industry designated as a priority sector in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ new Action Plan for Economic Diplomacy, the visit was an opportunity to gain valuable insights into the sector. In an unpredictable world, Economic Diplomacy matters more than ever. Challenging times bring both new barriers and opportunities. Close partnership and dialogue – like yesterday’s – are vital to navigate geopolitical uncertainty.” Commented Lina Gandløse Hansen, State Secretary for Trade and Investments, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

By hosting the ambassadors’ meeting, Terma underlines its commitment to being a trusted partner to the Danish state government – not only as a defense and technology provider, but also as a contributor to Denmark’s strategic position in an increasingly interconnected and unpredictable world.

Thomas Flarup, Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, Terma commented: “We are honored to host the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Ambassadors’ Conference at Terma. This gathering is a vital platform for fostering collaboration between Denmark’s diplomatic corps and its industries. At Terma, we see firsthand how innovation and international cooperation go hand in hand to strengthen Denmark’s global presence. As a key player in the defense and technology sectors, we remain committed to supporting Denmark’s strategic priorities and driving forward solutions that meet today’s complex geopolitical challenges.”
