Terma Inc. Achieves Critical Milestone with Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Level 2 Assessment

This significant milestone underscores Terma Inc.’s long-standing commitment to cybersecurity, regulatory compliance, and excellence in supporting the Department of Defense (DoD) and the nation.

Introduced into the Federal Register in November, the CMMC framework is designed to protect sensitive government information across the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). With an estimated 30,000 to 50,000 DIB contractors expected to require third-party assessments — and only 60 certified assessors currently available nationwide — undergoing an early assessment was a strategic decision for Terma Inc. When the regulation takes effect this summer, CMMC certification will become a mandatory requirement for all DoD contractors and subcontractors. Terma Inc.'s proactive approach ensured the organization's readiness and positioned it ahead of the industry curve.

According to the lead assessor, Terma Inc. had zero findings during the audit — a testament to the company’s robust cybersecurity controls, comprehensive documentation, and strong team preparedness.
