Terma Strengthens Space Division Leadership with Appointment of New Senior Vice President
Terma is reinforcing its Space Division leadership with the appointment of Mats Warstedt as Senior Vice President, supporting the company’s ambition to accelerate growth and position the business for its next phase.
The space market is undergoing rapid transformation, driven by increasing demand for scalable solutions, intensified competition, and a growing convergence between civil and defense applications. Across Europe, space capabilities are increasingly developed as dual-use solutions, raising expectations for both technological excellence and commercial performance.
In response to these dynamics, Terma is sharpening its strategic focus on profitable growth, portfolio prioritization, and disciplined execution across both institutional and commercial programs. Strengthening leadership is a key step in ensuring the Space Division is well-positioned to capture emerging opportunities and deliver sustainable value.
Mats Warstedt joins Terma with extensive experience across the space and defense sectors. He has held senior leadership roles at Patria, RUAG Space, Saab, and other prominent organizations, where he has led large-scale operations with full profit and loss responsibility. Throughout his career, he has successfully driven business growth, executed acquisitions and integrations, and led complex transformation initiatives.
“Mats brings a strong combination of industry insight, operational leadership, and strategic execution,” says Thomas Flarup, CCO at Terma. “His experience will be instrumental as we continue to strengthen our position in the evolving space market and deliver on our growth ambitions.”
His background spans space electronics, commercial ventures, and international defense programs, providing a strong foundation for advancing Terma’s space business in an increasingly competitive and integrated market.
“I am excited to join Terma at such an important time for the space industry, where opportunities in the military, civil and institutional domains have never been larger than now”, says Mats Warstedt. “I am very honored to accept the role of leading the competent space team at Terma and, together with them, taking on the growth opportunities and challenges in the next years.”
