Focus on Sustainment at Danish Defence Annual Conference

Herlev - Sustainment was the main theme at this year’s annual Danish Defence Annual Conference (DDAC) hosted by FAD, CenSec, and Naval Team in Copenhagen 10-11 February 2016.

At the conference, Terma Executive Vice President & Chief Commercial Officer Steen M. Lynenskjold took part in a panel discussion and presented Terma’s strong concept for global sustainment and Private-Public Partnerships between Armed Forces and the industry.

“I discussed public-private collaboration within maintenance, including what motivates us as a supplier of both products and services to enter into a partnership with the Defense in Denmark and abroad. I also presented suggestions as to what motivates a public organization such as the Defense”, says Steen M. Lynenskjold.

Terma already has a number of Private-Public Partnerships in place.

In 2003, Terma entered into a Private-Public Partnership agreement with the U.S. Air Force with special focus on maintenance and repair of electronic warfare equipment at Warner Robins Air Force Base (GA).

In 2010, Terma established The Electronic Warfare Competence Centre (EWCC) in Woensdrecht, The Netherlands. This was followed in 2014 by a partnering agreement with RNLAF Logistic Center Woensdrecht to support the Royal Netherlands Air Force fleet through development and supply of advanced integrated self-protection systems.

At the conference, Matthijs de Haan, Vice President & General Manager, Terma B.V. gave a presentation on Terma’s Dutch experiences with our Private-Public Partnership with the Dutch Air Force related to the maintenance of EW products at the Air Base in Woensdrecht.
