Raytheon finalizes mission systems deal with Terma

Copenhagen, Denmark – Boeing Hornet Industry Team member and major global defense and aerospace company Raytheon has signed its largest deal to date with a Danish supplier, finalizing a 100 million DKK mission systems deal with Terma.

With a decision in Denmark’s New Fighter Program expected this spring, the Boeing-led Hornet Industry Team continues to deliver on its commitment to bring real jobs and sustainable growth to Danish industry for the long term.

While Raytheon and Terma are not releasing further specifics on the mission systems work package at the request of the customer, the deal provides the latest example of how Denmark’s New Fighter Program is opening global markets to the country’s defense and aerospace companies.

In addition to the contract award by Raytheon, Boeing soon will use Terma’s 3D-Audio/Active Noise Reduction technologies in the AH-64 Apache simulator. This technology can reduce pilot fatigue and hearing loss, while improving speech intelligibility and increasing survivability. Inclusion of the 3D Audio in the simulator will evaluate the effectiveness of the system in a realistic environment and will allow for customers to make configuration decisions – laying the groundwork for incorporation into the aircraft.
